Care and Caring

In this podcast, I consider the concepts of care and caring and their relationship to health and well-being. I identify how care and caring are tied to ethics, norms, and behaviors. In addition, I explore the limits of care, especially in terms of empathy and sympathy. I provide an overview of the principle of an “ethics of care,” its relevance to social interactions, and its relationship to health geography. I address how an ethics of care translates to traditional research approaches as well as arts and humanities-based approaches to research.
